STELLENBOSCH WINE ROUTE
Thirty minutes from Cape Town, a warm welcome awaits you, our visitor to the Stellenbosch Wine Route. Since the founding of Stellenbosch in 1679, it has become synonymous with table wines of high quality. The cellars of the Wine Route are situated along the four main roads leading to Stellenbosch. Each cellar entrance is clearly signposted - watch for the official Wine Route logo. Most of the cellars offer cellar tours as well as lunches in their shaded gardens or restuarants together with a bottle of wine of your choice.

AUGRABIES FALL - PLACE OF GREAT NOISE...
Long before you see the waterfall, you smell it. The scent of water flowing over hot desert rock lures you closer; the same smell that comes with the first thunderstorms after a long highveld winter. but strangely, there is no rain, just more sunshine, more rock and more heat.
Visit the Augrabies falls and, make it a point to visit the various veiwpoints of the falls and the gorge. Look out for the fascinating little creatures such as the colourful Broadley's lizard, which climbs up and down the high granite cliffs and jumps acrobatically to catch flying insects.
